Skincare – selecting the right skincare routine

Skincare – selecting the right skincare routine

Cleansers are a common part of every skincare routine, and some are better than others. The key is choosing one that’s right for you. That means looking carefully at the label. “Facial cleansers” may sound like a great idea, but chances are they contain ingredients like benzoyl peroxide that can cause dryness, redness, and irritation. Here are some other guidelines for choosing a cleanser for your facial routine when visiting the body shop in KSA.

Step 1: Cleanser

Choosing a gentle cleanser is the first important step in any skincare routine, because the primary purpose is to remove dirt and oil from the skin. So, it makes sense to choose a cleanser that’s specially formulated for the face. However, many products sold toward people with oily or acne-prone skin contain particles or beads for exfoliating the skin, but again, twice a day is too much. A good cleanser for normal or dry skin contains salicylic acid, which works to unclog pores and allow the natural elements of your skin – moisturizers – to do their job. Look for a moisturizer that includes this ingredient as well as other natural ingredients, such as grape seed oil.

Many people think of “dull” when they think of facial cleansers, but that’s not the case. Using cleansers that are too harsh can make acne-prone or sensitive skin problems even worse. But a cleanser containing salicylic acid, which is mild enough to be used on sensitive skin, is a good place to start. For the most part, it’s best to avoid scrubs and toners. If you have extremely sensitive skin or an allergy to one of the ingredients in typical toners and cleansers, you should look for a product that uses natural, hypoallergenic ingredients, rather than chemical compounds.

Once you’ve gotten your face clean, your next step should be to move on to your cleansing routine. In the same way that you pick your cleansers, you should select a cleansing regimen for yourself, too. Ideally, your cleansing routine should include at least one exfoliant, two deep cleansing masks, and at least a couple moisturizers. Ideally, you should use all of these products at least once a week, but preferably every day.
